A once-in-a-lifetime chance with coffee beans.
Speaking of Nicaragua, Sergio's coffee often appears at Manly Coffee.
(This year as well, I have reserved Haba seed orange honey from El Porvenir Farm, which I always buy from!)
However, this time it's coffee made at the Los Altiplanos farm of a producer named Ricardo, who I met for the first time.
Butterflies and birds come and go in the farm! Coffee from Los Altiplanos Farm is produced in the great outdoors overlooking forests and mountain streams.
The leaves are bright green and the cherries slowly ripen over time. The farm owner, Ricardo, comes from a family that has been engaged in coffee production for over 100 years.
Ricardo is also a producer who has managed his family's farm for generations.
In 2021, Pacamara, which uses the same natural process as this coffee, won 22nd place at the Cup of Excellence with a score of 87.21. This was a great achievement for Ricardo.
Bright red apples and ripe grapes with hints of watermelon and melon.
At the end, the coffee has a hint of spice and Western liquor, and the most notable thing is the thick aftertaste.
Beans recommended by all the Manly staff 🫘🍒☕️
